Some economic-security problems cannot be understood from public data alone. IESI convenes small private working discussions where relevant perspectives can be compared directly, assumptions challenged and areas for further work identified.
A convening begins with a defined question.
Participation is selective and designed around what each perspective can contribute to that question.
The objective is not consensus. It is to determine what is actually known, where the important gaps remain and whether a practical next step exists.
Where can IESI make a practical, meaningful contribution to Israel’s economic security?
That question guides the discussion. It keeps the institute focused on areas where analysis, institutional coordination or allied cooperation can produce a result rather than merely another conversation.
IESI may hold discussions under the Chatham House Rule or another clearly stated confidentiality framework when doing so allows participants to contribute more candidly.
Terms are communicated to participants in advance.
IESI does not publicly attribute private remarks without permission.
IESI’s initial private working session in Tel Aviv examined a central question:
What does Israel need to preserve its economic resilience, strategic freedom of action and capacity for growth in a more uncertain world?
The discussion considered structural economic vulnerabilities, areas of strategic strength and the priorities that should shape the institute’s next phase of work.
